Short answer
Many University of North Alabama and Northwest-Shoals Community College students rent a 5 x 10 at SB Storage in Tuscumbia, from $50.88 a month, month to month. You can rent and pay online, and the first two months are half price.
Why students rent a unit
- No hauling a dorm room or apartment home and back each year.
- Keep your things close if you are staying in the Shoals for a summer job.
- A place to hold furniture between one lease and the next.
What fits
A 5 x 10 holds a mattress, a desk, a dresser, a TV and boxes. If you are sharing with a roommate, a 10 x 10 holds two rooms' worth.
Tips
- Rent before move-out week, when everyone else is looking.
- Set up autopay so your gate code keeps working while you are away.
