How do I rent a storage unit at SB Storage?
Choose a location, pick the size you want and select Rent Now. You enter your information on our secure rental site, and the system creates your gate code automatically. You can change the code later in your online account. You can also call (256) 212-0772 and we will sign you up over the phone.
How much does a storage unit cost in Tuscumbia, AL?
At SB Storage a 5 x 10 starts at $50.88 a month, a 10 x 10 at $55.96, a 10 x 15 at $66.14 and a 10 x 20 at $91.58. Uncovered parking starts at $17.30 a month. Right now the first two months are half price.
What unit sizes do you have?
Drive-up units from 5 x 10, about the size of a walk-in closet, to 10 x 20, the size of a one-car garage. Our Mitch Ave. location also has uncovered parking spaces from 10 x 12 up to 12 x 40 for boats and RVs.
What are your gate hours?
The gate is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day. Every tenant has their own gate code.
Can I get to my unit 24 hours a day?
Yes, if you add 24-hour access to your account. It is $24 a month. Without it, the gate is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day.
Are your units climate controlled?
No. All of our units are drive-up units without climate control. See our tips on protecting furniture from humidity.
Do you provide a lock?
Yes. We provide the first lock for your unit.
Do you have boat and RV parking?
Yes. Our Mitch Ave. location has uncovered parking spaces of 10 x 20, 10 x 30 and 12 x 40, which fit most boats, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes.
What if I pick the wrong size unit?
Just call us. We can move you to a bigger or smaller unit at any time, as long as one is open.
What if the size I want is full?
We will put you on a waiting list for that size and call you when one opens up.
What are your office hours?
We do not keep a staffed office at the units. Call us Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and if you are stopping by we will gladly meet you.
What do I need to bring to rent a unit?
A current driver's license or other state or federal ID, and a credit card, debit card or bank account to pay with. We provide your first lock. We do not accept cash or checks.
How do I pay my bill?
Sign in to your account online at any time to pay your rent, set up automatic payments and see your invoices.
Do I need insurance for my storage unit?
We offer tenant protection plans through SafeLease that cover your stored things. You can add a plan when you rent, or call us to add one later.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. All of our rentals are month to month.
